Gurugram RERA Approves 51 Projects Worth 38,000 Crore in H1 2026 — gurugram-rera

The regulator cleared 51 residential, commercial and industrial projects in the first six months of 2026, covering more than 16,700 units.

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Gurugram, approved 51 real estate projects with a combined investment of nearly ₹38,000 crore during the first half of 2026, reflecting continued development activity in one of India's largest real estate markets.

According to data released by the regulator, the approved projects comprise 16,727 units, including 15,403 residential units, 1,084 commercial units, and 240 industrial units. Eleven projects alone account for nearly ₹25,000 crore of the total investment.

Gurugram RERA said the approvals demonstrate continued project activity across the city and highlighted measures introduced over the past year to strengthen regulatory oversight. These include more detailed scrutiny of project registration documents, mandatory technical inspections, quarterly progress reporting and public consultations before approvals.

The regulator also said it has worked to reduce the backlog of consumer complaints and improve the speed of dispute resolution for homebuyers.

The approvals follow a year in which Gurugram RERA registered 131 projects attracting nearly ₹87,000 crore in investment, underscoring the city's position as one of India's busiest real estate markets.

For homebuyers, RERA registration remains an important safeguard. Projects registered under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act must comply with disclosure requirements, maintain dedicated escrow accounts for project funds and provide regular construction updates. While registration does not guarantee timely completion, it offers buyers greater transparency and legal protection than unregistered developments.

The latest approvals suggest developers continue to commit significant investment to Gurugram's property market. The pace at which these projects move into construction and eventually reach buyers will remain a key indicator of market activity during the second half of the year.
