Silver Has Crashed. Is This an Opportunity or a Warning?

Silver prices in India have fallen sharply from their January 2026 highs.

On 23 October, MCX silver futures fell to approximately ₹1,92,800 per kilogram, according to The Economic Times.

Moneycontrol also reported that international silver prices had declined by more than 53% from their January peak.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that India had issued permits for approximately 6,500 metric tonnes of silver imports over the following six months.

This creates an interesting situation.

Prices are significantly lower, but uncertainty remains around interest rates, industrial demand and investor confidence.

Some investors may interpret the correction as an opportunity to accumulate silver for the long term.

Others may see it as evidence that the earlier rally was excessive.
